About
Emma Harper Grayson
A woman who went through hell. Who barely made it out. And whose story needs to be told, but carefully, in a way that protects her. Because Emma is real. And what she lived through? It wasn’t just a nightmare.
IT was a GAME, played in the shadows.
A game she never agreed to.
CONFESSION OF THE AUTHOR – Well ….one of them.
“I don’t know how to explain this book.
I tried to write it as fiction. I tried to call it a psychological thriller. But at some point, the lines between storytelling and something else, something darker, started to blur.
I have never struggled this much to manipulate a story. Not because of the writing itself, but because of what lurked beneath it. Because the real story… the one that’s hidden between the words… was already telling itself.
I thought I understood fear. I thought I understood paranoia. But nothing prepared me for what I felt as I listened to her journey, her unraveling. The moments that were so real I had to stop, stare at the walls, and ask myself, “What if this happened to me? “
I wanted to honor her story. But I also had to protect her. Which means there are things I can’t say. Things that can’t be written. Details that would change everything, details that I had to bury beneath the pages.
So, here it is. A story that isn’t a story. A fiction that might not be fiction. I just hope, by the end, you don’t find yourself seeing the signs too.”
